The Team
Perfecting the art of island living is a shared pursuit for The Inlet team. Developer and architect Keith Murphy with his mother and business partner, Seabrook Island resident Paula Murphy, saw an opportunity to do a project inside the gate on the last piece of property zoned for this type of community. Their goal was to offer something new and the best in design combined with what makes Seabrook Island such a special place to live.
Enter Island Architects and Matt Sargent, Partner and Studio Director at the firm which has offices in Charleston, Richmond and Boston. Matt, who has over two decades of luxury residential design experience, is extremely familiar with designing projects for the unique landscapes of the Lowcountry. After multiple versions and design iterations with a varying number of units, Matt successfully came up with the answer they had been searching for. The result was a design that fits perfectly into the space and the surrounding land, reflecting and respecting the beauty of the island and the Lowcountry. At the same time they were able to push the boundaries of what is expected in a townhome.
The project will be built by general contractor David E. Looper & Company, Inc. who has over 30 years of experience across a variety of commercial and multifamily residential projects. They have been a great partner from the beginning and throughout this entire process. Construction of the project will be overseen by Keith, Matt and Island Architects.
Combined, the design and construction teams have completed hundreds of residential projects across the country.
